Synopsis
This is a novel of Adam and Eve's fall from grace and their expulsion from the garden of Eden. The story is told from the perspective of Cain. The book is true to the account in the Bible, while adding layers of complexity and historical and philosophical detail. Maine is an author who takes the stories with which we are so familiar and helps us grapple with their implications in a way few authors can.
